Question: I have throat infection mainly pain in my throat and mild cold started with stuffy nose, I am breast feeding , what medicine I can take for this type of common cold.

2. A broad spectrum antibiotic such as amoxycillin+ clavulanic acid, an anti-allergic mucolytic (such as cetrizine or Avil) , steam inhalation , anti-inflammatory (such as paracetamol or Crocin ), medicated gargles and nasal decongestant drops ( 0.1 % Xylometazoline ) may be used.
3. The benefit of not transmitting the infection to you child should be kept in mind.
4 if the infection is mild, you can avoid the antibiotic, anti inflammatory medication.
