Suggest Medication For Hypertension

Question: What med should I take for elevated BP. Took Klor-Con10Meq tablet & Losarton pills noon today. Primary doc also prescribed Chlorthalidone which for BP Haven't taken it today. BP is elevated now--

Regarding your concern, I would explain that you should start chlorthalidone as soon as possible.

But you should know that it is needed up to some days for its effect to appear.

Meanwhile, If your blood pressure is persistently high and you troubles like headache, dizziness, lightheadedness , etc. I would recommend taking 1tab nifedipine or captopril.

You should also avoid straining physical activity and caffeine intake.

A low salt intake with your diet and regular physical activity (walking, aerobics ) would be very useful in maintaining a low blood pressure.
