Suggest Medication For Loose Motion In A Lactating Mother
Question: I am XXXXXXX XXXXXXX having 5 months baby boy and feeding my milk to my kid. now my problem is that from the morning to till now 5 times I went for loose motions. can I take motions tablet ? will it not be a problem to my kid for feeding. please let me know your suggestion. thank you

For loose motions during breast feeding you can safely take tablet Lomotil thrice a day for symptomatic relief. Be careful to have adequate fluids and electrolytes along with to avoid any weakness due to loose motions.
In case the loose motions are not relieved then you will need proper antibiotics to combat the intestinal infection. For this you will have to consult your gynecologist to avoid any effect on the baby.
