Suggest Medication For Photoallergy
Sunscreen and a topical steroid (clobetasol propionate0.05%)
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.
I am dr. Kakkar. I have read your query and I have noted your concern.
Is the rash itchy? I request you to kindly upload an image so that I am able to confirm whether it is part of the same disease process or something else. You may upload an image at "Reports Section"
Photoallergy usually presents as itchy raised lesions on sun exposed parts of body e.g outer arms, neck and face.
In addition to measures such as sunprotection these lesions respond very well to application of topical steroids. Therefore I would suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen in all sun exposed skin, throughout the day or else wear full sleeved clothing to protect from sun. In addition you may use Lobate cream once daily at night specifically for the itchy lesions of photoallergy. The cream contains clobetasol propionate 0.05% as the active ingredient. It is prescription topical steroid and I suggest that you use it under supervision of a doctor in your vicinity. You may also take a tablet of cetrizine once daily in evening for symptomatic relief from itching.
Regards
The rash was actually in it's very initial stage and spread lightly over a 1inch x 1/2 inch patch and was very mildly itchy, and that too, only on and off. I started using the Lobate cream but did not feel the need to used Cetrizine. The rash is slowly subsiding.
i've uploaded the pictures I took on Monday, the day I wrote first.

Hi. Thank you. I have reviewed the Image. It is suggestive of light induced eruption
I suggest you to continue with the cream for a few more days. Also I would suggest sun protection; either a sunscreen or full sleeve clothing.
