Plantar Fasciitis
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You have recently developed plantar fasciitis after ankle surgery. Despite large doses of Naprosyn and steroid injections the pain is still present. You can try the panadol but it is not a very good pain reliever. I recommend instead some exercises. The reason for your pain is the plantar fascia is inflamed and during the night shrinks. This causes the severe pain when you first start walking in the morning. What you can do is before walking stretch the feet. You can do this be putting your toes on a step and stepping up allowing the tendons to stretch. you can also get a tennis ball and roll that under your foot. With increase stretching of the tendons the foot pain will resolve. You can also get orthotics for your shoes that will better conform to the plantar surface and reduce stress on the tendons
In summary
1. Panadol OK but not really good for pain
2. Stretch the plantar fascia with using a step
3. tennis ball rolling
4. Shoe orthotic inserts
