Suggest Medication For Severe Depression

Question: Is there a medication for instant depression relief? Please only tell me prescription medication and not herbal or lifestyle changes. I have almost tried all depression/stress pills. Can you help? Thanks. Male 33, type 2 diabetic, OCD.

anti anxiety medicine can provide some relief

As such all anti depressant medicines take 2-3 weeks to show its effect in depression or OCD symptoms. However anti anxiety medicines like clonazepam, lorazepam or etizolam can provide some relief immediately by making the person relax. You can ask your doctor for prescription.

To help you further I need to know current symptoms and medicine details you have tried until now with dose and duration.

I have tried Luvox 200mg since last 4 years. It was good in the start but now useless. I don't want to try any SSRIs anymore. Is there an injection that will instantly help? Dont want anti psychotic injection though.

Luvox is used for OCD. If you do not want to try SSRI, there is no other option to treat OCD except clomipramine and memantine. Injection lorazepam can help to provide relief in anxiety otherwise no specific injection for OCD.
