Question: What can be taken for severe toothache? Aleve 220 mg was taken about 2 hours ago. It has not been effective.

As per your complain in case if Aleve 220 is not working you can take Ibuprofen and in case of severe pain you can take Ketorolac or Tramadol after consulting a local Physician..

But taking medication alone can give temporary relief therefore you need to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and an x ray of tooth should be done..

Treatment of the tooth depending upon condition of tooth can provide permanent resolution .
