Posted on Mon, 14 Dec 2015
Question: I have since 5th November what my family doctor suggested is Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. I have used 16 mg (3 times daily) Betahistine and also do daily (twice a day since 3 days ago) Epley maneuver. I can exercise normally, but vertigo feeling is still with me. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
Here is a different maneuver to try.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

I am sorry you are having vertigo. I have had this in the past too, and I know how frustrating it can be.

If the vertigo increases or persists, you may need to see a neurologist and have further testing.

For now, I will leave the diagnosis to your doctor as he or she examined you, and give you an alternative maneuver for treating Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. Please see the video at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQR6b7CAiqk

I hope this helps you and you are soon feeling better!
