Here is my another question, My wife who is currently carrying and from the TIFFA scan report that was done yesterday I found the below; and I need some clarifications over them.
Report says that :
FHR : 172 BPM
BIOMETRY:
BPD : 35 mm 16 weeks 5 days
HC : 144 mm 17 weeks 5 days
AC : 113 mm 17 weeks 1 day
FL : 25 mm 17 weeks 1 day
Avg Gest Age : 17 weeks 2 days
EDD : 29/05/2016
EFW : 192 +/- 28 GRM
cervix length - 3.4 cm . os- closed ( what does this mean ? )
"Placenta : Posterior ,low-lying , Grade I maturity."
what does this mean?
Does this have anything related to normal delivery ?
Rest all the factors in the report shows normal.
Early response is much appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Normal findings
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
1. Os closed means that the internal os, which is the internal opening of the cervix, is closed.
It is normally closed before labour and is a normal finding.
2. Placenta posterior means it is implanted on the posterior wall of uterus.
Low lying means it is low in the uterus, but gradually it migrates upwards with increasing gestation.
Grade1 is maturity of placenta and is normal for this gestation
These are favourable For normal delivery.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
