Suggest Medication To Increase Sperm Motility Rate
Question: Dear Dr,
I am taking following tablets to increase the sperm motility.
lineator
vitacod-e
After taking these tablets, my stools are too thick and while passing, it pains a lot.
Can I stop having tablets for one or two days just to check whether these tablets
are the reason for the stool thickness?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
You can stop them
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I do not think that these tablets are the reason for the change in consistency of your stool. However, it would not harm if you stop these for a couple of days.
I would recommend you to take zinc and folic acid supplements for the next 3-6 months as they have been proven to increase the sperm count and motility. Cobadex CZS or many others can be taken as zinc supplement whereas folvite tablet can be taken for folic acid.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards

Dear Dr,
How will I know whether my semen motility has gone up without going to a clinic?
I am taking those two tablets since mid XXXXXXX and wanted to know whether these tablets are useful.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Microscopic analysis is required
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. The sperm count and motility are microscopic findings and therefore semen analysis (under microscope) is required for the same. There is no other way out.
I assume that you are trying for pregnancy. There are a number of things that could have gone wrong. A step by step approach needs to be taken. If you can discuss the details perhaps I could help you out.

Yes Dr I am trying for pregnancy. My sperm motility is less so I am taking those two tablets, which I have mentioned in my previous post.
Brief Answer:
Continue to take the medicines
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the information. Continue to take the tablets till your partner finally becomes pregnant. Ensure that your partner is also on folic acid supplementation. I do not think that you need to get your semen analysis done at the moment. Make sure to have unprotected sex with your partner every alternate day between the 10th and 18th day of her cycle. Both of you need to try and relax since stress is an impediment. I am certain that it is only a matter of time before pregnancy finally happens.
