Question: Dear Doctor, My mother, Shantha, who is 56 years old, recently returned from a week-long trip and is currently experiencing a dry cough and a noticeably hardened voice tone. Additionally, she is feeling slightly cold and has some body aches. Despite taking two paracetamol tablets, her symptoms persist. Hi,
Dry cough and cold symptoms might be due to water and weather change during travel and due to the above voice change.
Tell her to avoid cold water and frozen foods.
Drink warm water only for atleast 2 days.
Take adequate rest.
If there are any symptoms like fever, vomiting, loose stools, please contact us.
She can take T. Levocet 5 mg once a day at bedtime for 3 days.
Paracetamol 650mg twice a day for 3 days.
