Suggest Natural Sweetners That Are Good For Health
Question: I currently use Splenda as a 0 calorie sweetener. I do not like honey as a sweetener and Stevia has an after taste to me. I recently tried one tablespoon of Aguve Blue nectar to sweeten my green tea.One tablespoon equals 5 calories. Is there another natural sweetener outside of honey on the market?
I am trying to start being more health conscious with my food choices.
Thank you

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I really liked your keenness to have a healthy life.
Ideal natural sweeteners are honey and stevia.
The problem with stevia is the after taste,as mentioned by you but this problem is there with the powdered stevia. If you use liquid stevia, you won't find this problem of after taste.
Very soon a different form of stevia would be available in market known as TRUVIA,which is supposed to have no problem of after taste.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Recently, I have read that Stevia powder or liquid is not good for a person's health. So much information with conflicting views makes it difficult to decifer what to try. I am going to retry honey again.
What honey is best? raw or organic ?
Thank you for your advice

Hello,
You are right. There are various contradictory reports about stevia.
As far as honey is concerned, the best is raw honey.
