Question: Dr. Heijebu, Thank you for your email. My eyes are comfortable at this time but no improvement in vision. I don't expect that to happen now.
I have had some information from 'The Foundation Fighting Blindness'. This particular message was from Toronto, butI think Doctors in both Canada and United States are working together on this. It is with great hope their Stem Cell Research will help persons with MD, Stargardt disease, etc. in the future.
With thanks and appreciation,

Brief Answer:
Few selective measures suggested

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

Good to hear back from you.

Hope the stem cell research helps you.

I am providing you with few evidence-based approaches against ARMD.

1.Avoid exposure to second-hand smoke.

2.Protect eyes from direct sunlight using either dark glasses or a wide-brimmed hat.

3.Eat a well-balanced diet high in natural antioxidants.

4.Eat fresh baked fish (1-2 servings) daily.

5.Eat green leafy vegetables (eg, spinach, kale) daily.

6.Consider a supplement consisting of folic acid (2.5 mg/d), pyridoxine (50 mg/d), and cyanocobalamin (1 mg/d).

Thank you.
