Diet modification will help

Dear XXXX
Feeling of bloating is quite common in children, it's usually related to diet factors. Consumption of more of spicy food, pulses and legumes like dhal may cause these symptoms.
If there is no distension of abdomen, no vomiting then there is no cause for concern.
I would suggest you the following which will definitely help
1. Ensure good intake of water; 1 cup of water 1 hour before and 1 cup of water 1 hour after every meals will ensure adequate intake of water everyday
2. Diet : Including Curd in the diet like butter milk, Curd rice will be beneficial
3. Syrup Domperidone 3 ml twice a day will be helpful; It will increase stomach motility and reduce stomach distension
4. 2 serving of fruit everyday
5. Avoid biscuits and other food products containing maida (refined wheat flour). Excessive consumption of which can cause bloating.
Probiotic are not indicated at present.
