Suggest Remedies For A Bruise On The Uvula

Question: The dental hygienist pushed an xray deep into my mouth yesterday causing me to gag. Then my dentist said he detected a bruise on my uvula and suspects cancer. Could the xray have caused the bruise?

If the X-ray film was inserted deeply then it might cause a bruise. If it doesn't heal within a week then it might be something else. Moreover, cancer looks light a growth, not like a bruise. I'd suggest consulting an oral surgeon if it still persists after a week.
