Suggest Remedies For Accidental Overdose Of Epilim
Question: Hi I may have overdosed on my Epilim
Brief Answer:
Please go to the nearest Emergency room
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern
Epilime contains valproic acid as active ingredient.
Symptoms and complications associated with valproic acid poisoning depends on the amount you have consumed. Doses below 400 mg/kg can be managed with close insertion alone. However, higher doses require treatment with activated charcoal, gastric lavage and even hemodialysis to avoid organ damage.
Timely intervention is very important. So, please be advised not to waste any time and go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.

Follow up answer
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Even though you do not have any notable symptoms at present, valproate levels can rise in your blood up to 18 hours after ingestion. So you need to be admitted in the hospital for at least 24 hours under close monitoring and blood valproate levels checked every 4 hours. There is nothing that can be done at home to help you.
Please visit nearest ER as soon as possible.
