Brief Answer:
Management of anal fissure

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health

Key to management of anal fissure and reducing pain is by avoiding constipation.
Here are few things to try to avoid constipation
-Avoid caffeine
-Drink plenty of fluids, stay hydrated
-Eat fiber rich food like wheat, XXXXXXX post, vegetables
-Fruits like prunes and prune juice
-You can also take Psyllium containing laxative

You can also use sitz bath to improve blood flow to the fissure area, healing and reduce pain. Sit on warm water bath for 15 minutes 3-4 times every day.

Use analgesic creams containing lidocaine like Recticare ointment.

If the above measures do not resolve pain and discomfort in 7 days, please follow up with your primary provider. You will need prescription medications like nitrates and calcium.channel blockers.

Hope this answers your questions
