Posted on Fri, 30 Sep 2016
Question: I think I ate a turkey cutlet that was a couple of weeks old. I developed bloating and cramps at bed time and still have cramps now. How long should I wait to see if symptoms improve on their own?

Brief Answer:
Hello. Give it three days

Detailed Answer:
Hello, welcome to HCM,

Unless you have developed a fever with this, I'd say you need to give it three days and if the bloating and cramps last longer than that, you need to see a doctor since you might need a course of antibiotics for an intestinal bacterial infection. Meanwhile please stay well hydrated by drinking a lot of water.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Regards
