Suggest Remedies For Body Pain, Diarrhea And Chills

Information
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Given the symptoms she is having and rapid pulse, she may be mounting a fever even if she doesn't have one yet.
Most likely this is a virus causing all of her symptoms.
I would give acetaminophen for the chills and aches, but not Dayquil Severe Cold and Flu unless she also has a lot of sinus congestion and cough. DayQuil has a lot of other medications in it that she doesn't need right now such as dextromethorphan which is a cough suppressant, guaifenesin which is for thinning thick respiratory secretions, and phenylephrine which is a decongestant.
It also has acetaminophen in it, so wait to give her the next dose of (just) acetaminophen (Tylenol) so that she doesn't get too much of it.
Make sure she stays hydrated as a person can lose a lot of fluids from diarrhea. Coconut water (not coconut milk) is a good rehydration fluid as it also contains naturally occurring sugars and electrolytes in a good balance. If you can't get that at your grocery or health food store, other rehydration fluids can help.
Foods she may tolerate better than others right now are apple sauce, rice, toast, bananas, non-spicy soups, tea.
Pulse rate goes up when the body is sick and fighting an infection, especially when there is fever, chills, or pain.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
