Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows :
1. You have done colonoscopy and rectosygmoidoscopy and nothing is found .
I would like to know if your doctor has take biopsy for microscopic colitis?
2.Your symptoms may be related with internal internal hemorroids too.
Otherwise to better evaluate the causes of brown mucous I would recommend to do :
- fecal culture tests
- fecal test for ova parasites
Meantime I suggest to use preparation H for hemorroids , wash you anal are with camomile tea.
Hope it was helpful to you.

Dear doctor, my doctor has not done any biopsy for microscopic colitis. In the full colonoscopy one year ago and rectosigmodoscopy last month all was ok, but there were hemorroids. - am so nervous. Can this be serious?
Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Hemorroids are a common finding on anal ring.
but the other parts of colon are with noreal mucosa and there were no mass or tumor.
this is the meaning of normal colonoscopy.
Otherwise hemorroids can explain your symptoms.
hemorroids ca case anal bleeding , itching .if the hemorroids are too a grated that the surgery can be used to heal them.
Hemorroids are not serious issues. this is why you should be worried about them .
Hope it was helpful to you.

Hi back,
To my opinion since you don't have any other issues except mucous , there is no need to repeat colonoscopy.
I would recommend to eat healthy , try to avoid stress and get treatment for hemorroids for about 6 months.
After that if there is no improvement then you can do colonoscopy plus biopsy for microscopic colitis.
With you all the best.
