Suggest Remedies For Burning And Itching Sensation On The Wrist
Question: Hi i was testing out the long wave diathermy machine on my wrist, i just recieved the machine !! Alhough i never felt a hot sensation on the side of my wrist when i was using it, but after using it i felt a mild buring sensation/itching on the side of my wrist !!
After 10hours its still there !!
What do you think happened could i have burnt my wrist ?

Usually there are set patterns and protocols for using the SWD machine which applies specifically to each body part.
It is possible that you may have sustained a burn.
Apply ice pack 3 times a day. Apply Silver Sulfadiazine cream thrice a day for 3 to 4 days. Avoid using the machine till then.
Do consult a trained Physiotherapist regarding the proper use of the machine especially since your skin may be over sensitive to its use.

What kind of a burn do you think it is ? Is it a skin burn or a burn which has gone deep into tendon, ligament & bone ? Thanks
