Suggest Remedies For Chronic Moderate Pain On Right Side Of Abdomen

Not sure whether there can still be stool in the secum area which may be causing the pain, or if pain may be indicative of another problem. I had a hysterectomy in 1999, which removed uterus, ovaries, and cervix. No other surgeries.
Investigations and Clinical evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/67 - chronic moderate pain on right side of abdomen - 11 o'clock from naval - constipation few months - large solid bowel movements for the past several days - taking prune juice and prunes and stool softeners - pain few weeks ago - ER - CT scan showed fecal matter in cecum - hysterectomy in 1999 -
My thoughts:
As per the details you have provided this looks to be colitis, inflammation of colon.
Since CT scan has been done, means other causes of pain in this area are ruled out like gall bladder, live, pancreas problems.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Continue laxatives and prunes
Try to remember the foods, beverages and other factors that instigate or enhance your problems and avoid them altogether.
Colonoscopy after preparation may show up something that the CT scan can miss to show.
Tests of stool for 3 consecutive days.
Tests of blood, CBC, sugar, thyroid and liver functions.
Specialist's opinion, clinical evaluation and examination and further tests depending upon these will help a lot.
I hope this answer helps you to get an early and proper diagnosis and further curative treatment.
