Hi XXXX. Please continue anti allergic tablet, and a tablet for acidity. But it is important to understand what set it off. It could be something you ate or an external allergen. Food items causing allergy are normally non-vegetarian or high protein vegetarian like groundnuts, kabuli chana, Rajma etc. External allergens maybe pollen, dust, unusual smells like paint etc. Have you had these episodes in the past or is it for the first time? If the attacks are repeated, we will definitely have to look for a cause. You are welcome to revert back to me with answers to my queries. If you are better and you found my answer useful, please indicate the same. Regards and hope you improve.

Thanks for the detailed response. Actually the antiallergic did not help. Today visited a General physician who said that i have acute throat infection which is spreading. He gave me an injection and started antibiotics. However, I do not see any significant improvement so far. Maybe it is too early as i have just taken 1 dose so far.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, I still feel it is an allergic episode maybe superimposed by an infection. Since your doctor has started antibiotic, please take the full course. But be sure to take something for acidity along with it. And later my advise already given may help as a follow up to prevent repeated episodes. Regards
