Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry, however routine and timely follow-up to continue..

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxxxxxxxx, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Well it's quite unfortunate to know, but such incidents do happen and it's good that the food particles came out spontaneously..

All those symptoms are mainly due to the temporary irritation and damage caused in the gastro-esophageal mucosa as well as the upper respiratory tract due to that event..

Just take steam inhalation three to four times a day for next 2-3 days..do not cough forcibly as it can further damage the mucosa..

Have light, less spicy, soft, easily digestible foods for the time being, avoid any smoking/alcohol for the time being (if you do)..have plenty of hot/warm liquids (soups, broths, menta tea etc.)..

Additionally, take a dose of antacid, eg. Tab RANITIDINE 150mg twice daily before food for next 7 days to prevent any acidity/excess acid secretions (which can additionally cause heartburn and further damage to the mucosa, thus needed to be prevented in such scenario)..

With all these being followed, you should be fine within a matter of time only.. in an unlikely event, if despite following all these, there's no significant improvement, then I'd suggest to get evaluated by an ENT specialist / your nearest ER for a thorough check-up and a Chest X-ray in the first place..

Don't worry, just follow all the advises, you should be fine..

Do let me know how you stay in the due course..

Take Care
Kind Regards
