Suggest Remedies For Frequent Infection In Penis

Question: I'm suffering from frequent infection in my penis for the past 6 months. often I feel my penis slightly swollen and I used to apply topical creams. it used to get cured in a few days. is there a permanent cure for it?

Symptoms - Pain and slight itch around the head and tip of foreskin. no visible trauma, no visible infection either on the foreskin or penis.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have repeated infections of glans penis ,foreskin with itching since last six months .

1) Are you diabetic?

The itching of the genitals with swelling is most common amongst individual with Diabetes due to Mucocutaneous Genital Candidiasis ..

Please get your sugar levels checked on empty stomach and 2 hours after lunch to find out whether you are diabetic or not.

Start taking antibiotic like Cefexime with anti fungal medicine like Fluconazole and topical anti fungal cream like Candid for local application .

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily .

If you turn out to be diabetic ensure that it is well controlled with medicationand diet control

thank you very much for your response. from my last year checkup I was not diabetic. HBA1C WAS 6.1. fasting and PP were normal. but 2014 checkup had HBA1C level 8.1. so I'll do the checkup and get back to you.

You have done fasting sugar by glucometer at home at 11 A.M which is 103 .and post lunch at 1 P.M which is 160 ,The Postprandial seems to be higher (Normal upper limit being 140 ).This suggests you to be Diabetic.

Please recheck both in laboratory with venous blood .
