Brief Answer:
Scrotal dermatitis with candidiasis most probably..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM...

I read history and show the photo you posted. After that I feel that most probably your husband may be having scrotal dermatitis with Candidal infection. The precipitating factor may be perspiration, soap or wetness. The lesions seem on inner thigh and scrotum. The skin of scrotum looks erythematous. He might be having burning, pain and itching in this area. You consult the dermatologist for the proper diagnosis. Still, I would suggest as follow....

- antihistaminics like Levocetirizine 10 mg once daily at bed time
- short course of antibiotic which he may already have been started on..
- anti inflammatory and analgesic drugs
- application of antibiotics and anti fungal cream
- avoid soap bath
- Sitz bath in dettol mixed water
- rest for few days

I hope this would help you...

Thanks.
