Suggest Remedies For Growing Mustache And Bread For A 27 Year Old Man
I am almost 27 but I can't grow a thick moustache or hair under my nose above the upper lip or on the chin. What do I do??
I know it's not genetic since my dad has a full beard and even my younger brother has better beard than me
Hormonal imbalance needs to be ruled out.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Mustache and beard thickness disturbances in males can be seen in hormonal imbalance.Means apart from genetics, it's the hormonal levels that control the beard and mustache hair growth.
It should be ruled out first since you do not have any negative family history.
So,I will suggest you to get serum testosterone (Total and free),LH,FSH and thyroid profile at the earliest to look for any abnormality.
The definitive treatment depends on the test results.
In case, test results come normal, physiological aspects should be considered and natural ways of enhancing beard growth can be done.
Therefore,I will suggest you to try natural ways to enhance hair growth.
Exfoliate your skin once a week. This will help remove dead cells and will stimulate hair growth.
Wash your skin with warm water using a mild cleanser twice a day. Clean skin accelerates hair growth.
Eucalyptus moisturizer helps to promote facial hair growth.
Ensure that you sleep well as this will help repair damaged skin cells and promote facial hair growth.
Take nutritious in your diet as they speed up the hair growth process.
Take 5 mg of biotin daily once to help your beard grow faster. You can ask your family doctor for prescription.
Refrain from shaping or trimming your hair very often. Groom your beard only after six weeks when it is full grown.
Facial massage improves blood circulation to the face, which will stimulate new hair growth.
Hope this helps.

Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for the quick response.
You can look for the size of your penis (Normally 7 to 10 cm in length in fully erect condition), how often you get erections (means there is no erectile issue),have proper hair in the pubic region (means around the penis),your voice and your height.
If the answers to all the above are favorable, then you probably do not have any hormonal disorder. In case any doubt, better to rule out by tests.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
consult endocrinologist.
