Question: My Father had recent angiplast and currently using pan d,metxl 12.5 mg,angispan 2.5 mg,cervin af(75+150 mg),storvas 40 mg,ranozex. He is suffering from severe gas and stomach pain after lunch and some times it goes off after he walks or it stays or the whole day.Can you suggest some medicine for indigestion/gas problem. Which would be better either uulgel/digene/gelucil with less side effects and also can you mention the timings when this should be taken.he is already taking PAN - d once in morning and has asked to take in the evening also if he has severe gas problem. But i think if he takes any digestion/gas reducing syrup would be better.Since he is on heart related medicines can you let me know the exact timings of the medicines.Does gas pain spread to heart also. The pain exist from abdomen to the heart section when the gas is more.I wanted to find out if it's a gas pin or chest pain.

Brief Answer:
Difficult from history to differentiate cardiac and gastric issues

Detailed Answer:
Hi

THanks for writing in

It is really difficult to differentiate the cardiac problems from gastric with history alone

An ECG is a better guideline

Aspirin and clopidogrel could be the cause of his gastric symptoms

Regarding timings of medications Aspirin and clopidogrel along with statins are better of at bed time after dinner

It is very true that he should take PanD twice a day for atleast two weeks

If you feel he will be better off with some liquids give him two tsf of sucralfate twice a day and a good digestive enzyme before meals

Hope this helps

Brief Answer:
Digene If given a choice

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in again

It is good the ECG is normal

Regarding the liquid if given a choice I would prefer Digene

Pantoprazole has been proved to be safe on long term use so no issues if he has taken it for more than 2 months

Hope this clears your doubts
Wishing your father a healthy life ahead

Brief Answer:
Aristozyme

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Ideally online consultations do not allow to prescribe any brands

But as you have been persuading me I am writing a safe brand

Cap Aristozyme twice a day before major meals.

You will still need a original handwritten prescription to buy this medicine, so consult your local doctor and get it prescribed.
