Suggest Remedies For Infection On The Mons Pubis
Question: My daughter had these little cuts on her mons pubis like paper cuts. Tiny. Weeping a little with clear liquid. She said she hadnt hurt herself or scratched it. We hadnt had a recent change in soap or laundry detergent. I got her to use an antiseptic cream but now is red and very irritated looking with white dry looking skin around the edges?

I get the infection part. I even sort of understand it in a wet area of the body even using antiseptic cream. I think my main concern is the cuts themselves. Is thereaany reason or skin condition that can result in random cuts in that area?
Brief Answer:
Impetigo
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I can understand your concern regarding the cuts in pubic region.
She might have scratched unknowingly which would facilitate entry of bacteria. Bacterial skin infection can start anywhere on the skin. Pubic skin anyways has a rich bacterial flora.
Perhaps she has 'impetigo' which is a superficial bacterial skin infection, most commonly caused by staph.. For impetigo, I would suggest an oral antibiotic e.g either amoxicillin or Cephalexin in addition to the topical antibiotic cream.
