I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, itching and severe skin rashes are commonly seen with allergic dermatitis.
You might have exposed to some allergen and this is causing you allergic reaction.
So better to take oral combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs.
Apply steroid containing cream on rashes.

This is my first encounter with this in my entire life. I have no history at all with being allergic to anything. This started out on one foot and then spread.
