Suggest Remedies For Labored Breathing

Question: I have been through ct scans, pulmonary function test, asthma test, no longer have asthma, I have had stress tests both cardio and cardio pulmonary , xrays and ultrasounds. People think I am panicking but I know the difference. I have labored breathing even at rest. I have seen a pulmonologist, pm&r doctor. I go to pulmonary rehab. I see PT. She noticed I am weaker on my right side and my upper chest doesnt move well while breathing. I am looking for answers but dont know where to turn. When
walking I have to rest. I am a former smoker of 16 years quit in 2000. I exercise 30 minutes 3x per week and one hour 2x per week at rehab. I also do PT exercises to help open my lungs. My oxygen level is good, always 97. I have had my abilify lowered in case it was that (started in May when breathing issues started). Could it be some sort of muscle disease? If this question went to the same doctor, sorry

I forgot to say for meds tried, I have tried xenopex in nebs and abuteral

Brief Answer:
Try symbicort inhaler on regular basis for sometime.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

Have gone through your query in detail. It is clear that you have undergone extensive tests for your breathing problem and I take it that all are normal. It does not look like a muscle disease because then you would have other symptoms also like difficulty in walking and performing other daily activities.

Do you have any allergy issues like do you cough or feel suffocated in dust and smoke? I suggest you try symbicort inhaler 2 puffs 2 to 3 times a day because sometime in early stage asthma all tests may be normal.

Have you undergone a diffusion study? You may also repeat a HRCT chest and a spirometry after sometime and have a diffusion test if not already done to rule out early stage interstitial lung disease.

Hope this answers your query. Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions.
