Suggest Remedies For Large Itchy Bumps On Legs And Arms

Question: Hi, my son developed large itchy bumps on his legs and arms(exposed areas) after a camping trip. They looked like bug bites, but they are not. It has been one week, we use a corticosteroid cream and once daily antihistaminic pill. It seemed to settle down until I did not give him the pill last night and this morning he woke up with even more bumps. What could be the cause?
Brief Answer:
Seems to be insect bite hypersensitivity reaction
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photographs and it is looking like insect bite hypersensitivity reaction.
If I was his treating doctor I would recommend him to apply potent topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream or betamethasone cream on the affected bumps twice daily along with antihistaminic like tablet Chlorpheniramine 4 mg once daily at bedtime.
This needs to be continued for atleast 2 weeks for resolution of these bumps.
