Suggest Remedies For Open Angle Glaucoma, Macular Edema With Severe Vision Loss
Question: What is the best action to take for 83-year old female patient with open angle glaucoma, BRVO and macular edema with severe vision loss in the last 3 months?
Brief Answer:
Intravitreal implants will be helpful
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your query in detail.
The macular edema is a consequence of BRVO.
To treat this condition, intravitreal dexamethasone will help.
Likewise, open angke glaucoma has to be first graded for severity, later has to be treated with oral pills and eye drops. In case the glaucoma is still not brought under control, then surgery is preferred.
This is the usual protocol of treatment in her case.
Please check with your opthalmologist if he shares my name and if can prescribe this treatment to you.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
