Suggest Remedies For Oral Thrush While On Cephalexin
Question: I am taking cephalexin ,I had dental cleaning before hip replacement on March 27th..I have some bacteria and candida in my mouth,if the bacteria are killed with the antibiotic,how do I do it to treat candida?.I am afraid to have complications. Cephalexin started on March 15.Can Candida go to my entire body? and what the complications would be?.

Related your concern you should know that using a lot of antibiotics for a long time could be a cause to develop candida. But don't worry because candida could cause complications in immuno depressed persons and very rare in immune competent person.
In your case I suggest to use local anti fungal treatment ( usualy I prescribe dactarine gel) and probiotics associated with antibiotic in order to prevent development of candida in your body.
You should know as well that if happens that you develop candida in your body ( that has a low risk to happen to you) exist some drugs to treat it ( fluconazole tb or IV etc). Drink cleaner water and take hygienic food to avoid any concomitant infection.
