Question: Hi
I am 58 female has a fat blob removed from around my left ankle, they used propofol? In or, about a week later I has an extremely hard stool may or may not be related (as in had to be manually broken off, then foolish me clog toilet)

Since then I've had soreness in middle of left hip, thought maybe it was. Adjusting to new walking, the ankle is sooo much free eer moving, but it's been 8 weeks, pain has not changed, it can be somewhat felt externally but it's starting to annoy and concern me.

Doubt there is much difference resting might be a touch worse sitting and yeah I've been butt deep taking care of house and mom, lot of bending running etc.

What point do I worry Slept on hard surface, was torture

Brief Answer:
You need to be patient.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

You would have to give it time to recover. A surgical procedure is always an additional insult that the body has to adjust with. So, you may expect a gradual improvement in the condition.

Look out for signs of redness and inflammation. Look out for oozing and pus formation in and around the surgical site. Unless these happen I do not think that you need to worry.

About the constipation, anesthtics could have had a role to play. But as of now the solution is in your hands. You need to take plenty of water and fluids to drink. You also need to take plenty of green leafy vegetables as well as fiber supplements to help in forming the bulk of the stool. Regular morning walk is also essential.

Hot compress should help in case of the hip pain. If the hip pain does not resolve in a couple of weeks, I would insist on getting an X ray of Lumbar spine (AP and lateral) done.

Regards
