Brief Answer:
you need to Visit your nearest ER at the earliest....

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Harpic primarily contains corrosive material (Hydrogen chloride, which gets reformed as hydrochloric acid to be specific), and harmful side effects are numerous in this case..

You're very lucky that since yesterday till now you haven't experienced anything too serious(remind you- it can be life threatening)..perhaps the less quantity had saved you this time..

On top of that , you've done the worst possible thing by vomiting as it potentially increases the gastric and esophageal(your food pipe) mucosal damage along with severe chemical pneumonitis as a delayed effect of the toxins..

Please don't try to vomit any more..

Don't try to eat or drink anything at all and seek immediate help and get to your nearest ER for urgent care and management..

In the ER , they'll run few tests on you including toxicology screening, blood gas analysis, Chest and abdominal X-ray along with UGI-endoscopy to see the status of your food pipe along with stomach and duodenum..you'll be kept under monitoring and supportive management as per the physical findings and need..

Don't panic, already enough delay has happened, remain vigilant and awake and rush to your nearest ER at the earliest..

I'm quite concerned for you, let me know how you stay in the due course..

Best Wishes
Regards

I'm little scared of seeing ur msg.. I didn't even drank just a sip. I swalloed a point percent and I puked immediately. Then I tried taking vomiting with the help of drinking salt water. Till now I had cough inside my throat.. And watver I eat and drink .. All the taste being as same as salt.. I couldn't able to feel the taste .. All the drinks and food taste is being same as salt...
Is it really a problem for my health.. Is it possible for you to suggest a medicine to clear the cough inside my throat and to have the taste of food

Brief Answer:
please follow the advises....as already described..

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear , Welcome Back..

Thanks for following up..

Good that you had such a little amount, like I've already mentioned , you're very lucky, so don't be so scared..

Be a little brave and please go ahead to your nearest healthcare facility(an ER is always the first choice for a quick diagnosis along with prompt medical attention)..

From your symptoms , it's quite apparent that there's an element of chemical burn of the buccal mucosa, so the extent of the burn must be diagnosed for proper treatment and future well being off course..

You can try steam inhalation three to four times a day, it'll dilute the secretions..

Saline nebulization every 4 to 6th hourly will be of some help.. always remember that in this kind of corrosive injuries, home remedies and over the medicines aren't of any help, so an immediate medical attention is a must !!

Confirmation of the extent of damage is really important for your future well being as well as quicker recovery and to avoid any delayed painful after-effects of this kind of corrosive injury (you've already delayed a lot, please don't delay anymore and follow the advises as I'm giving you , this is for your well being and quick recovery only)..

Please go ahead get yourself examined at the earliest along with the necessary treatments as per the findings without any further delay..

Let me know how you stay in the due course..

Take Care
Kind Regards
