Suggest Remedies For Pain In The Thumb Post A Needle Prick Injury
Question: Yesterday I accidentally had an epi pen discharge through my thumb. The dose was shot out on the other side of my thumb. The needle came out just below my thumb nail. No redness or discoloration. It is painful to use or bend at the top joint. Do I need to splint it or leave alone and will heal in time?
Brief Answer:
It will heal on its own.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that you are having is just due to a needle prick. Mild soft tissue injury is likely. The area will gradually heal in time. Any splinting is not required for such a small injury.
I hope this answers your query.
