Brief Answer:
Warts are caused by HPV. Consult a Dermatologist and get well.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Warts are caused by a group of virus called as Human Papilloma Virus. There is no specific antiviral drugs are available to combat with HPV. This can be transmitted from an individual who had similar lesions or from soil or dust.

It can be treated either with surgical cauterization (Electrocautery, Cryosurgery or Laserablation) or Chemical Cauterization through the application of some weak acids or keratolyzing agents. Anyhow it is easy to treat when it is single or few. Consult your Dermatologist. He/she will guide you further.

Hope I have answered your query.
