Suggest Remedies For Panic Attacks Caused By Air Hunger

Anxiety is a common cause of these symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM
I can understand your concern. Persistent feeling and desire to gasp air occurs commonly in anxiety. During sleep after obstructive sleep apnea individuals might develop air hunger but in wakefulness anxiety is common cause.
Persistent anxiety cause individual to take deep breath and with passage of time this results in CO2 washout which in turn cause suffocation and thus deep breathing again. This results in a vicious cycle and cause symptoms and can precipitate panic attacks.
In my opinion your doctor is correct in prescribing you Citalopram. Within about 4 weeks the drug would cause improvement of symptoms and thus you will feel better. So just remain relaxed, a lot of individuals with anxiety have similar complaints.
Thanks, hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.

I'm healthy in every other way always have been and exercise regular. Is there anything else you could suggest ?
You can take Hydroxyzine on SOS basis

Hello again, thanks for asking a follow up
Two weeks has passed since drug started and in coming two weeks you will start seeing improvement. The symptoms will start decreasing and anxiety will come under control.
Yes you can take Ucerax on SOS basis. Ideally you should not take more than 3-4 tabs daily. The drug though is safe but can cause dependence.
Apart from this start taking Vitamin B12 and Omega 3 Fatty Acid supplements which would help in supplementing actions of Citalopram.
Thanks. Still have doubts please ask again.

Is that ok? And is vitamin b1 safe to take with those too and what dose? Thank you
Yes you can take
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
Yes that would be ok.
You can take B1 along with these supplements, no need to worry. Thiamine in dose of 100 mg per day for about 2 weeks helps to improve the deficient status in most persons. Take the drugs as per your prescribed doses only.
Thanks.
