Suggest Remedies For Pressure Sore On The Heel With Pus Looking Drainage
Question: My mother- age 88- has a pressure sore on her heel( which started in a rehab center after total knee replacement Sept 4, 2015. (post fx of R. femur) She is in an assisted living group home. Sore isn't healing, is crusted over- with pus looking drainage. She has a podiatrist appt this afternoon, but now wants to cancel due to fatigue, dizziness, heel pain. These malaise s/s have been going on a few days with ocass. nausea. I'm alarmed. Worried this infection may be systemic now. Would like a Dr. to see her today- the podiatrist or at ED. What do you advise?
