Suggest Remedies For Profuse Sweating When Diagnosed With A Sinus Infection

Question: Hi. Im sweating so much down there. I get out of the shower and I stink. My butt crack is always wet to the point where I have to apply diaper rush cream. My underwear gets soak within 5 min, and then my clothes. This is so embarrassing. I don't even want to have sex with my husband. I've gone to many doctors and all of them tell me that nothing's wrong and just to put baby powder. That works just for an hour or not even. I've been telling my obgyn that I have a bacterial vaginitis so he did all the std tests and everything came normal. My ph level is ok too, he checked. I smell though, I know my body. This is going on for so many years now. I bothered my obgyn so much that he got pissed and have metronidazole for like 2 weeks. Everything was perfect, no smell, no sweat. Beautiful and then 3 weeks after I finished, same symptoms. Then I had really bad sinus infection so I got really strong antibiotics and again, no smell, no sweat. I definitely have an infection, I'm 36 and I know my body. I'm taking probiots daily, I tried all over the counter bv treatments. I only wear cotton, no things. I shower at least 2 times a day. Loose clothing, perfume free soap. This is really affecting my life. Please help

Brief Answer:
Use an antibacterial soap.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

Overactive thyroid or Low blood sugars are two main causes for Excessive sweating. Do get those blood tests done to rule out these causes.

Avoid stress, practice relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation.

Eat healthy nutritious balanced diet which should include fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. You should avoid coffee, alcoholic beverages, onions and garlic which have strong odors.

You can use an Antiperspirant after discussing it with your Doctor for example, products containing 10% to 20% aluminum chloride hexahydrate by applying to the affected areas. You can also use an antibacterial soap daily to clean the bacteria present on the skin that cause the smell.

Sprinkle talcum powder all over the area or dust with baking soda to help reduce heavy sweating. Skin swab culture can help in identifying any specific bacteria present in the area and a specific antibiotic to remove it. You can consult a dermatologist for this.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow-up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Regards.

I mentioned that I use correct soap. Also I mentioned that baby powder works for little bit. I do my blood work every six months, thyroid is fine and so is my blood sugar. I was targeting the bv, and nothing got mentioned about that. It's not just the sweat. I feel like I just waisted $00. I thought I sent my question to the obgyn

Brief Answer:
BV is less likely to cause sweating.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Bacterial vaginosis is associated with vaginal discharge and itching with a foul smelling discharge. it is not associated with only sweating with no vaginal discharge. Your clinical history is not suggestive of BV. However it can be ruled out by vaginal swab culture.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.
