Suggest Remedies For Recurrent Fever In A 6 Year Old Child

Question: My son is 6 yr old and now he is at Sirsa XXXXXXX where climate is too cold. He is suffering from fever. I am giving him combiflame syp 5 ml. But after 5-6 hr again fever comes. Pl advise me at what time interval combiflame syp can be given.

Most often such infections are due to viral cause. Combiflam is effective in controlling temperature and can be given for fever higher than 100 °F. Give it as required but at minimum interval of 6 hours between doses. Give tepid sponging in the meantime. The fever may come back from time to time and you would have to be patient and give combiflam as mentioned. Such episodes are likely to continue over the next few days.
