Question: hello sir,

My mom name Ambujam . She had undergone spine surgery for spine infection a month before just 5 days before she got some pain in the left leg so we moved her back again to the same hospital from the next two days she started talking irrelevant but she didn't forget everything For Ex: she is able to identify that I am talking but currently I am in United States but she is saying to me that i am in XXXXXXX only and will come to meet her in short it looks to me she is in some confusion state kind off when i checked with doctors they said it is due to some electrolytes imbalance is it possible

Hello sir ,

Good morning I have a small follow up question my mom didn't sleep at all for the last two days in hospital today she is sleeping all the time which looks abnormal and she raises some concerns to me that she was not given any solid food kind off but she never did that before but doctors are saying still she is normal after they did CT for brain . can you please share your opinion on this

She is still delirious -- abnormal sleep is expected in this condition. A normal CT is reassuring, but the source of the delirium still needs to be identified, such as an electrolyte imbalance. It is okay if she skips food for a couple days in order to sleep, she will be okay.
