Suggest Remedies For Severe Migraine

Question: Hello... I just got home and my 17 yr old daughter said that after a basketball game that she had been at tonight, she was having difficulty speaking correctly, "she was not getting the right words", and her "fingers and mouth were tingly". Said her head really hurt and she was feeling nauseous and scared. She is asleep now. She has experienced migraines before... vomiting, light sensitivity, etc. Could this be a migraine in a different form? Do I need to take her to the ER?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Judging from that description you provide I would also put migraine as the most likely cause. Migraine with aura can present with short lasting neurological symptoms followed by the headache attack.
Of course things should be followed as they evolve. If she again manifests speech issues then it would be a cause to take her at the ER. If no more speech issues or other new symptoms she should be alright. The tingling in the fingers and mouth looks more due to anxiety, especially if tingling was on both sides as it doesn't correspond to any brain area/lesion.
