Hello,
Thanks for following up with me.
It is no doubt allergic rhinitis.
Complaints of increased sneezing in morning especially confirms this because the smog content in air is maximum in early morning and also bronchoconstriction happens and hence the allergic reaction and sneezing.
I would like to give few advices here as follows.
1. Keep his bed clean. Wash the bedsheet and pillow covers more frequently than you do for other.
2. There could be mites in bed which are very allergic triggering for many people. Hence washing the bedsheets n pillow cover is nice hot water will be helpful.
3. Usually it is seen in adolescent age group they can have allergies but usually as they become 18 or 20, these allergies go away (Myself had same problem).
4. Dust, pollen grains are main triggering factors for starting of sneezing so avoiding these will help him a lot. Covering nose when being outside can help. If any plants or flowers are there in his room or outside the room, consider moving it away.
5. From medicine point of view, continue the loratidine as and when required.
6. Additionally ask your doctor for prescription for montelukast (montek lc). Take this tablet every night before sleeping. Try this for alteast 15 days and see whether it helps. Sometime it can keep the allergic reaction to minimum or sometimes it gets rid of it too.
I hope these advices will be helpful for him.
If you have any questions kindly ask me back.
