Suggest Remedies For Skin Rashes On The Penis
Question: Skin rash on my penis. Worried about HSV2. Just the one bump is all there is. No other symptoms exist. Had a different bump just like it in a different spot weeks ago and it went away within days with using hydrocortisone cream.

Any idea dermatologically of what this bump is or could be caused by? Also, any recommended course of treatment to clear it up? Psychologically this is driving me insane wondering what it is.
Brief Answer:
Use a topical antibacterial cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Seems to be just an inflammed gland or a bacterial folliculitis. I suggest you to use a topical antibacterial cream e.g 2% mupirocin cream or 2% fusidic acid cream, twice daily. You may take a screening blood test for HSV e.g HSV ELISA i.e HerpeSelect. That would be reassuring.
