I already try to stretch the psoas, but it still gives me trouble. Any ideas?
Consider gracilis pain and other causes as mentioned.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
The commonest causes of stabbing pain in lower groin are:
Gracilis syndrome gives pain in the lower groin and can be due to inflamed gracilis origin from the pubic bone.
Inguinal hernia with or without nerve stretching.
Inflammation of spermatic cord
Psoas pain is usually does not occur in inguinal area.
Since you have pain on playing tennis, the commonest cause can be gracilis pain.
I would advise you the following:
Watch for any swelling that increases on coughing or straining and reduces on its own - indicates hernia.
Please see whether there is tenderness on palpation on the pubic area?
Also see if there is tender and swollen spermatic cord.
Consult your Doctor or an orthopedic Surgeon to get a proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations as needed to get an exact diagnosis so that a guided treatment can be conducted.
Exact diagnosis is most important to have correct and effective management.
I hope this answer help you.
