Suggest Remedies For Stage 2 Asbestosis While On Dulera
Question: I have been diagnosed with Asbestosis, Stage 2... and am on a med called Dulera, one puff morning
and evening. How else can I address this respiratory drag which makes me weak at times. My age
is 80.75 years; and I am barely able to do my usual daily housework. What kind of physician should I
be seeing who can treat this? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Asbestosis itself can cause you to be ill and weak
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Asbestosis is a difficult disease to treat. If you have wheezing or obstructive pattern of pulmonary function, then inhalers like dulera can help. This is quite a safe drug and shouldn't cause much side effects.
I suspect that the asbestosis itself is causing the problems. If you can send me the CT scan and pulmonary function test reports then i may be able to help you better.
Pulmonologists normally take care of this disease. I think you are already under one.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Thank you for responding to my first question. My pulmonologist did order
some tests for me here; and as wonderful as she is, she always says to me,
"I just want to talk to you and see how your breathing is now; and I do not
want to address anything else". She has helped me with Dulera and when I
see her, she feels i am doing fine; but I also tell her I feel weak. Of course
I am aged 80.5 years, so I don't press the issue. I would like to send you
copies of the breathing tests my pulmonologist ordered for me. Thank you
for answering me. I am glad to hear what you have to say. You will hear
from me as soon as I get the test data to send to you. Thank you.
Sincerely, XXXXXXX Skobieranda
