Suggest Remedies For Strep Throat And Fever

Question: 4 yr old boy was prescribed Amoxicillin for strep throat. Today is the 7th day of a 10 day treatment.

Seemed to be getting better at first but for the past 3 nights he has been getting a fever (avg 101.5) the fever does get better with a dose of Tylenol, he also has a phlegmy cough which he takes a herbal/honey syrup for. No rashes. Still active and normal appetite. Would you recommend I finish the 10 day treatment 1st and then take him to pediatrician if symptoms don't get better
his temperature right now is 102.5

one of the most common reasons for the appearance of fever during antibiotic treat is a concurrent viral infection. The antibiotic will treat the bacteria but not the virus, so the fever persists.
So I recommend completing the 10 day course of amoxicillin since this is likely helping treat the Strep. If the fever persists beyond the 10th day, it would then be worth having him reexamined.
