My finger itself is slightly swollen, but the nail is not black. I showered, and it felt really good to have hot water on it .

Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
If there is no open wound then NSAIDs like ibuprofen along with topical povidone and first aid triple antibiotic creams like Neosporin should suffice.
If there is an open wound with soft tissue swelling and pus formation then systemic antibiotics such as cephalexin can be advised.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

This is what my nail looks like today. Theres a small crater/hole in the center, and the nail is super thin and discolored at my cuticle, where that half circle is .

Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
Based on the image you uploaded , its a blunt contact and there is no breach of the surface of the nail. The area of the nail is also quite clear and doesn't require topical antiseptic or antibiotics.
Most likely, it will heal and level out by itself. If there is associated pain then ibuprofen can be used.
Calcium, vitamin D and zinc supplementation can be given if the nails in general are thin and weak.
Wishing you best of health
